This is a really easy and cool trick to do. Watch toward the end and the candle will spin all the way around.

If I'm not mistaken, it's because the candle is tilted. The heat from the flame melts the wax. On the end that points downwards, the wax falls off easier, and this lowers that mass of that end. As the end pointing up becomes heavier than the other end, gravity pulls it until the lighter end is now upwards. Process repeats in cycles.

i thought similar because the wax melted and pooled meaning it became heavier dropped wax expelled and then otherside did the same and the process went on

I think that the candle rotates back and forth because the nail isn't perfectly straight. As it rolls, it traverses the curved glass and the contact point between the glass and the nail moves to where the nail is thicker, essentially pushing the candle "uphill". Then, the candle rolls back the other way until the same thing happens on that side.
The reason it moves farther and farther is related to a pseudo-positive feedback loop from the candle wax melting.
Interesting stuff.

You are on the right track.
What I believe happens is that the end of the candle facing downward has more of the flame impinging on the wax, melting more of it than the other end. Then, like you said, it drips off, reducing the mass on that side of the fulcrum (nail) and then the candle rotates towards a more balanced state.
