  • I too have my "post hole digging" degree.

What other people think is none of my business, even if I "want" it to be mine, it cannot be anything but "my imagination". Each head is a world. Peace is achieved by loving one's self, liking one's self and forgiving the thoughts that enter our minds about what does not concern us.

    Happy digging!

  • Five videos that I saw of Wolinsky, five cases of philosophical and religious superficiality - the greatness of the realizer Nisargadatta (!) notwithstanding.

    Enough.

  • Only after all self falls away, all Divine person gives way to Godhead as it is in itself, but there is no point and truth in telling that to persons. And also, that isn't "the Father".

And so as long as Wolinsky doesn't understand Christianity, this is NOT a meeting point between advaita and christianity.

If you are really interested in such a nexus, I beseech anyone to read "What is Self ?" by Bernadette Roberts (author also of "The Experience of No-Self" and contemporary catholic mystic).

  • Moreover, it is completely untrue that simply because the absolute is not a conditioned person that it would follow that it isn't personal.

Of course, the Godhead is not any particular person, even Paul Tillich, christian theologian knows that, but "the Father" is "not less than a person", that is, he has every capacity to act in a personal manner towards any person at any time. Hence the Father indeed IS a Divine person to the Son, just like the Son is the Divine person to us.

  • Not at all, it is not merely through any old consciousness that you get to the Father, but through the very consciousness that is in Christ !

It is possible that you can find the Christ through your own consciousness (but I doubt without supernal help), but that doesn't make the Christ, the Son, identical with your ordinary consciousness. Such a cheap misunderstanding.

  • Da hat er ja mal was erkannt was schon lange viele wissen, alles hat - braucht seine zeit
