Is it just me, or does Nozomu look a lot like Watanuki from XXXHolic? Also, is there romance in this anime at some point?

No, not exactly. The series is still really questionable about who is going to end up with who, and Nozomu has no plans of deciding anytime soon on a person xD
Or he may just suicide.

awesome but I always thought the main singing would have suited sensai because he's always commiting suicide,never thought it could work with Kafuka

Well after watching the series, it actually goes kind of opposite; that Kafuka is the one that needs more help than Sensei (as he just has some insane issues; but he still doesn't really want to kill himself yet)
