Made for my VM120J class with Peter Flynn at Emerson fall of '08. The project was to compile still images and audio to create a meaningful sequence that comments on a chosen theme; my theme was Searching. The composer in this narrative montage is in search of the perfect sound of life for his piece. He is in search of something that will complete his piece which in turn will offer himself satisfaction. In general, we all are doing this search for something to complete/satisfy our life, one way or another. Please enjoy and leave your thoughts!

  • I love the still motion, the way the mind plays tricks to fill in the spaces. The sounds were fantastic, vivid. And the notes dancing were fun.

  • omg are you and Marcus in school together??

This was really cool, the sound was perfect. What a cool assignment. "Running Love" was cool too. I'll try to post mine up on my website soon... ttyl!

  • It's good but get a tripod for cripes sake!

  • Congrats Russell! You're on your way! Love the unique views of Boston carousel quiditch tree at the end - Marcus was great. And Richie's music is fantastic!
