it looks like a whole lot of awesome fun!!!!

@PartnersInCryme Yes absolutely it is a personal preference.I just wonder why anyone would prefer to spend all that time body boarding when they can surf. Body boarding is fun and cool but I think surfing just completely overshadows it as a sport and as a way of life.I can't remember ever hearing body boarders talk about what they do with the same passion that surfers do.But then I've never read body boarding magazines and I am completely ignorant of the sport so maybe they do.

@HeavySabre70 i think its just a difference of opinion like someone who prefers to ride mountain bikes over bmx bikes

I do kind of have to ask the same question as another person did and that is why would you want to spend hours perfecting a body boarding technique when you can do the same on a surf board? For all those people who love body boarding, does body boarding appeal more than surfing and if so, why? (That is a serious question by the way.)

Because some people do both like me and with surfing its fun but if your not progressing fast, then for me it got boring, i took up body boarding because i feel more comfortable on bigger waves and can flip, 360, and overall do more on a body board, and have more control. in my opinion
