Mendelssohn-Rachmaninoff: Scherzo -played by Charles Rosen

Rachmaninoff's version of Mendelssohn's Scherzo from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is one of the most famous piano transcriptions.
Pianist Charles Rosen's 1966 LP "Virtuoso!" was one of my dad's favorites. Athough he took good care of his records, I spent several hours using Adobe Audition 3.0 to digitally restore this track, trying to remove the clicks, pops, and hiss without compromising the sound quality.

Do you think you could post a link where we could find a printable version of the sheet music? I would really appreciate it, I've been looking for the music for a few days now, but all I can find is the original scores.

Go to Amazon and search books for "Rachmaninoff transcriptions". When I did this, at the top of the list was a book of about a dozen piano transcriptions (including this one) for only $10. If this is not good enough for you, then I can't help you, sorry.

I can hear at least three hands, i.e. they are faking it, but this is very neat anyway. Compare to the 4 hand job with Martha in it

Great performance. Does anyone know what edition of the score this is? I have been trying to find one with good fingering and it seems that this one has it. Love to get a copy if someone can help.
