Martha is jealous of Rose

Personally I hated Martha as a companion, much preferred Rose. Main reason being that she swooned all over the doctor from day one. And she was always jealous of Rose. Song- Girl Next Door by Saving Jane

I love all the companions, they're all great in their own ways, I just find the criticism to some a tad harsh.

@Lucille7777 much don't we? ;)  Yes, Martha is out of Mickey's league, but the Doctor did have to see them together and eat his heart out. Well, really, he was 'getting his reward' by doing Mickey one last favor and saving Martha's life so Mickey could remain happy with her. He didn't look to happy about that so there can be your satisfaction of seeing the Doctor 'eating his heart' out. Of course, he was doing Mickey a favor at the time and not staring at them in jealousy like you wanted

Martha is actually a bit of a player isn't she? Cuz first she loved the doctor, then left him and married Tom Milligan then divorced him and married Mickey!!!

@mickaaans think about it though. Rose couldn't be bitter or anything as she got everything. Her dad died, she got another one, she wanted to spend her life with the doctor, she got the clone. She was also very clingy towards the doctor was always very jealous.

Martha got nothing. She had to live in the shadow of Rose. No bloody wonder she was a bit rude at times and no wonder she left.

Sorry but I love the episodes with her in it but I hate Rose in general. Sorry.

@Valentinopuppy yeah Rose was very clingy. She wouldn't have left him. I do like Catherine Tate or Freema Agyeman more though.

I HATED ROSE AS A COMPANION!!!!!!!!

There I said it. She was a spoilt brat who got everything in the end. I liked her when she was a companion but when she left they overkilled it a bit too much. Anyway as soon as he regenerated the 11th doctor forgot about her. I don't think Martha was the best but she was WAY better than Rose, sure she may have swooned over the docotr but Rose sorta did too. Catherine Tate was the best outta them all.

martha jones was likely the smartest most self capable companion. I did not like her as a companion for those reasons. she just wasn't proper side kick material. also she is drop dead gorgeous,so I don't get the girl next door comparison. i think martha took care of and saved the doctor far too much. I prefer cathrine tate, she was the best out of all them, she was dirt stupid, a little unattractive and always in need of rescue which made the doctor seem smarter, sexier and more capable.

I think both are great, of course I loved the doctor and rose more, but think about it, if it weren't for martha Jones, they would still be imprissoned in that ship in the sky, Rose wouldn't have left the doctor their, she would stay, and they'd be trapped forever, Martha had the strenght to leave him. So thank you Martha Jones.

who wouldn't love the doctor? of course she was jealous of rose... every one is entitled to their own opinion. i think martha is stunning and endearing.

I love Martha Jones. Always has, always will. And I love Rose Tyler, but I different ways, they aren't against each other. Not at all.
