I agree with you totally!! I recently bought a Guitar player mag. And in it on the same page mind you was a picture of Kirk with cut outs of other guitarists Like Page . Clapton, Hendrix, Steve Vai..lol Why is Kirk in these mags? he really does suck at what he does. I wouldn't call him a guitar player. he is a wah wah player...Ah actually he has his guitar tech do the wah for him.. Pretty stupid ha? KIRK SUCKS ASS! My 15 yr old nephew is waaay better than him and hes been playin for 2 yrs

The problem with this approach is it essentially means that no-one can make any comment about anyone else, because for everyone elligible to make comment, there is someone else to say "Well, I'm not as good as the guy you're commenting on, but you aren't as good as me, so what would you know?". I find that it's far easier to make rational, reasoned comments, whoever it is that is the subject. It's far more conducive to sensible debate.

Excuse me for saying so, but you need to work on your appreciation of sarcasm if you actually think I was being completely serious with that comment as it is written. My sentiment behind it however is completely serious: I find that Kirk's solos really aren't so dissimilar to this one, much of the time: Sloppy, horrible phrasing and rhythm, lots of random or discordant notes, too much wah, general lack of taste, restraint and sensitivity...
