I've lived in San Diego my whole life. Been a Padre fan since the mid 1960's. My wife & I got married on the same day that Steve Garvey hit the home run that Beat the Cubs & eventually led the team to their first World Series in 1984. Attended a ton of games at Jack Murphy, & then later named Qualcomm stadium. Yet for some reason, it took 4 years & a free pair of tickets before I would visit our brand new downtown ballpark.
What can I tell ya.

As a long time Padres fan, I will say that I will miss the MURPH (and the $7.50 field level seats with my dad). What I miss more now that I live in KY, is Jake Peavy throwing beer all over us on the first base line after they won the West in 05. GO PADRES!!!!!!!!

I miss going to baseball games in JACK MURPHY STADIUM...I will never refer to JACK MURPHY STADIUM by that other corporate name.
