Starcraft: 7 years in 7 minutes

A look back at the many changes Blizzard brought to the game of Starcraft. Also includes a few highlights and my memorable Starcraft moments from the past. As well as speculation on the future of Starcraft...

Music is all from the Pure Pwnage Soundtrack, I figured since a new episode was released there'd be no better music to use!

Some of the dates of the patch releases are unofficial. Blizzard didn't keep an official file of when they released patches- some fansites did however they aren't credible sources.

Also, Iccup season 1 was in 2007 not 2006. The text in the movie is misleading.

@korpse69 It bugs me that you are complaining about an extremely reasonable price for, in many eyes, the single best RTS ever made to date. So my point is, if you're going to complain about prices do so on a SC2 video not on a video dedicated to SC/BW where you will be shot down in a heartbeat like you were by Plotts132...

@DeathKnightsCow sc1 was less group freindly than sc2. in sc2 u can amke parties and have arranged teams. and dude wtf, u can play LAN in sc2. sc1 was more a competitive sport than sc2

@HonestlyProtoss If you followed the conversation you would see i was talking about the sc franchise going away from being family/group friendly sc1 is a good game sc2 is shit i enjoy warcraft2 more than sc2 world of warcraft sc2 and diablo 3 are just for money they dont care about putting out games that can be enjoyed by a group of people (since they took away lan play making it more expensive for a family/group to play the game) sc2 is just pretty graphics with bad dialog that wants to be sc1

It wasnt about being a competitive sport until recently once that happened they took away spawn and lan play which is meant for groups of people and families are a subset of groups of people. Playing lets catch bugs or some gay shit like that shouldnt be a family game. Games the make one think compete against one another and is stimulating is a family game. Gore is an added bonus. Blizzard has turned into a money grubbing company as seen by all their new games

Remember Harry potter map that was epic from a person who played SC since he was 6 i feel the better version of SC is SC1 not 2, SC2 makes it to complicated it went from simple family fun that got competitive to pure competition not meant for a family. Blizzard has gone down hill ever since they became more interested in money then having a fun game. I will probably more of your games bec i grew up playing WC 1 then WC2 family lan parties but they definitely have gone down hill
