The opening of Act II of Aristophanes' The Frogs. It is a conversation that takes place between the slave of Dionysus (Xanthias) and the Slave of Hades (who is not named). They provide us with some background information to the action of the agon between Aeschylus and Euripides that follows this conversation

  • Wasn't it 2003?

  • I don't think so.... I think it goes:

    Lysistrata 2003

    Frogs 2004

    Euripides 2005

    Phaedra 2006

    Clouds 2006

    Bacchae 2007

    Lysistrata (the Seamus one) 2008.

    Yeah that works.

  • You're missing 'The Eunuch' which was 2004.

  • Ah, I always miss the Eunuch....

  • You sure do. It was the only play in which I was sexy.

  • I did a cameo. That I found out about a week before the show!.

And I scared Kate. A lot.

  • @gingervitus01 i believe they're australian, hence the accent.

  • Why does every greek play actor always use a british accent? :S shakespeare yes, but aristophanes? :P

  • I was a eunuch, once.

  • Something about shoes...

    Or umbrellas.

All I remember is that I had to cover for whatsisface's inability to remember his lines, which actually made my character infinitely more plausible.
