Mt Peveril is located in the Tonquin Valley near the town of Jasper,Alberta. It was a goal of mine to climb Mt Edith Cavell standing at 11033 ft, the largest mountain in Jasper National Park but lightning on the morning of the climb pushed us away from it. Local guide Max D (who I was with) decided that we should climb the very remote Mt Peveril...only a few mountains away from Cavell sitting at around 10 000ft! Off we went and did I EVER get my money`s worth!!! Check out this cool clip...it`s my push up the last pitch looking off both sides of this very vertical mountain!!! Thousands of feet down on both sides made this last jagged slab of rock the most exhillerating part of the climb!!!
Thanks Max, could not have done it without ya!
good video, Peverill Peak is a nice mountain. However, Mt Edith Cavell is not the highest peak in Jasper, that would be Mt Columbia, the second highest in the Canadian Rockies.
