Type 2 diabetes is 100% preventable when a person eats the correct diet. The U.S. Department of Agriculture published the 2004 Food Guide Pyramid that advised people to eat 50% - 60% carbohydrates, avoid saturated fat, and exercise. Will following these recommendations prevent diabetes? Absolutely not! They published the revised USDA 2005 My Pyramid with the recommendation that you adjust the pyramid to suit your personal health conditions. People increased their efforts to comply with the pyramid, but the results were an increase in diabetes and obesity, and a decrease in overall health. The new 2010 USDA My Plate advised that we eat no more than 30% total fat and less than 10% saturated fat for awesome health. Are these recommendations scientific? No! They are scientifically false.
My book, Absolute Truth Exposed - Volume 1, presents scientific facts about human physiology, nutrition, health, and disease. The information presented in my book will hopefully convince you to eat a diet that will prevent and treat Type 2 diabetes. Avoiding the foods on the "Forbidden List" is a major step toward an increase in your health.

The false information about sugar started when government scientists and commercial interests attacked one of the pioneering works of sugar consumption, Sugar Blues, by William Dufty (husband of actress Gloria Swanson) in 1975.

I remember when I was a kid it was called Sugar Diabetes. In fact sometimes people just called it sugar. My grandmother said of my great grandmother, "she's got sugar." It was also called juvenile diabetes if it was insulin dependent and adult onset if the pancreas stil produced insulin. Now children get adult onset diabetes because the government gave the false information that you could eat all the carbs you wanted if you ate little fat. The original USA food pyramid came out in 1992.
