The recording begins at (1:20)
The late British spirit medium Rosemary Brown (1916 - 2001) discusses what she claimed to be her communication with composers such as Chopin, Liszt, Schubert and Schumann in this 1970 recording entitled "A Musical Seance," issued on the Philips label, serial number PHS 900-256. In last third of this video, British pianist Peter Katin (1930) performs "Grübelei," a piano work which, in her narration, Ms. Brown says was dictated to her by Franz Liszt, in the company of representatives from the BBC, one of whom she reports played part of the manuscript. The video starts out with some text from the liner notes from the LP. I have included some text from the liner notes that discusses the relationship of "Grubelei" to other works known to have been composed by Liszt.
The actual narration by Ms. Brown begins at about 1:22. Peter Katin's performance of Grubelei begins at 7:48.
For those not familiar with Ms. Brown, I recommend for starters the New York Times obituary, here: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9B0CE7DA103DF931A35751C1A9679C...
A TIME magazine article about Ms. Brown (with reference to this LP) can be reviewed here: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,878381,00.html
All images used in the creation of this video were taken from the LP label and LP jacket.
I have uploaded this material because it created a stir when it was published in 1970 and is not, as far as I know, commercially available.
