This is a good example of what made Jerry so great. He could take even a 2 chord song like this and with his deep knowledge of intervals and scales and the fret board he could endlessly create interesting melodies. He was a master at it.

@Jstammfly It always takes me by surprise when I'm looking at JGB and Dead videos on YouTube and realize that I was at the show. Great memories, phenominal music. My brothers took me to my first show when I was 11 and the rest is history...

ive always enjoyed music since a young age cant play cant sing but feel it deep in my soul i remember when i was 14/15 gettin a cb tape it opened a whole new world later on when i was 17 i jumped on board and almost 20 yrs later here we r watchin ourselves havin fun love it...

This is what I think of when I think of Youtube, cool original footage of interest to a few die hard music lovers like myself, thanks for posting! What made this band fun to seee is evident here, the interplay beween Merle Saunders and Jerry Garcia and the band.

Although Jerry & Merl played together many years, this version of the band featured Melvin Seals on keys :-)
