The storyline of Uselesssea's is based on an anecdote in which Pablo Picasso and James Joyce meet in a Paris cafe. Great minds think alike, or do they? The animation was shot frame by frame, using cardboard cut-outs, colored ink and a lot of imagination.

artist: Andrew Pike
After having completed an arts course in Ormonde College in Kilkenny, Ireland, Andrew Pike was one of the pioneers of the KCAT studio in 1999, which he now shares with eleven others. Together with fellow artist Sinead Fahey, he recently co-designed the Big River, a street theatre spectacle that was staged by 250 performers, as part of the Galway and Kilkenny Arts Festivals.
