On this Fathers' Day, I would like to dedicate this all those Dads out there raising children on their own. Maybe, their wives are ill, or dead. Or, perhaps, their wives left them to raise the kids by themselves. In the end, it really doesn't matter. What does matter is the fact that these Dads succeeded admirably and the kids turned out great. Unfortunately, the news media constantly focuses on "Deadbeat Dad," not the ones who are doing it right. This song is for those who do it right!!

Merle was and still is an great artist, his hero Lefty Frizzell ain't no slouch either. It's no wonder all of todays country artists try to imitate him. I remember the first time I heard Clint Black I swore it was Merle.

Something most of the rest didn't do. I've heard Bakersfield a million times. What planet are YOU from??
