On a day that we honor Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., The Price is Right started another week of its 40th Season with the following prizes and Pricing Games that were on the show today:

-A 2012 Scion xB as the car in Cover Up

-$10,000 to be won in Grand Game for the contestant that had to find the four grocery items that were less than the Target Price of $2.50

-Roxy ladies ski equipment that included a set of skis, boots, bindings, and poles plus a trip to Colorado as the two prizes in 2 For The Price of 1, valued together at $8,298

-A 15" Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer that included MacSpeech Dictate premiere speech recognition software, an eCruizer 500 watt electric motor electric scooter, and Christian Dior accessories that included a red woven leather tote, gold chain access, a silk scarf, and multicolored sunglasses as the three prizes in Most Expen$ive, where the contestant believed the accessories cost the most in value

-An Endurance recumbent bike, a 55" Panasonic flat panel plasma 3-D HDTV that's Wi-Fi ready and coming with 2 pairs of 3-D glasses, and a 2012 Kia Forte Koup EX as the three prizes in Rat Race

-A Sea-Doo GTI watercraft as the prize in Push Over

Out of the 6 Pricing Games played, two results had the Losing Horns. Which Pricing Games were they?

Just like last year for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a special sound clip involving Mr. Vince McMahon honoring Dr. King is played in the beginning of this Recap.

Also, names of "Pricing Game M.V.P.'s" and the "Showcase M.V.P.", the Sponsor being brought to you this week by Land O Lakes Cocoa Classics cocoa mix, an announcement about tomorrow's Price is Right, shout outs to neilrocks87 and MaestroMason1987, and to close the Recap a quote famously said by Dr. King as part of the honor for him today.

  • Vincent Kennedy McMahon. The WWE Chairman?

  • @im264shirt That's right. I took the sound clip from an old episode of Monday Night RAW from 2000 to place into this Recap.

  • for some reason I had a bad feeling in Garrett's choice of the baking powder. But, what do I know?

RULE OF THUMB: never a good idea to chose the 1st # for free in 2 for 1. The 3rd # is usually the best choice. However in today's case the pair of prizes rule applies here meaning the 2nd # was the best choice.

I have a suggestion I'd like to make about games such as Push Over that I'd like to talk to you about sometime.

  • Cover Up would've been a won if that one wasn't the 4th number and Rat Race win was a miracle with just that one rat which was the Pink. Still a good day to start off the short 4 day week and what happened to my shout out as you were going to give me a shout out for the Giants win.
