Welfare is bad. People tend to support it based upon the "intent." However, "nothing should be supoprted by "intent," it's the result that matters.

2 households cost less than one. Whenever you create a 2-household "family," you trap both parties in a lower economic sector, and limit their upward social/economic mobility.

Gonna have to deal with family destruction and the forces that subsidize it, as well as the forces that attack fatherhood. Just my 2 cents.

Interestingly, this seems to be an argument against welfare. I'm not sure whether the intent was directed there, though. I do think that welfare is keeping a lot of minorities down, because single-mother welfare subsidizes the destruction of families and enables them to become dependent on the state.
