Kevin drop her off at her house

Taylor: (walks into the house) Dad? (looks around and finds a note on the counter, it says: Taylor and Demi, working today. Be back later on. Order a Pizza if you want. Love, your Father) I guess (starts to go up the stairs) Demi? You home yet?

Demi: (walks downstairs putting an earring on) hey, sorry got to go

Taylor: (stops her) whoa, whoa, whoa, wheres the fire?

Demi: Davids here and well, I have to go and get him from the airport (smiles)

Taylor: well Im coming with you (gets her coat)

Demi: (pouts) aw, why?

Taylor: to get to the airport you have to go through the highway (raises an eyebrow) do I have to go on?

Demi: (shrugs and sighs) I guess not (opens the door annoyed) after you

Taylor: (smiles) thank you

Demi: (follows her out the door)


******with Joe*****

Joe: (opens the door; slams it behind him, and runs upstairs)

Kevin: (hears the door slam upstairs; looks at Cody) whats up with him?

Cody: (shrugs; smiles) maybe he found out Demi loves me, and not him! Yes that makes perfect sense.

Kevin: (looks up at the stairs and shakes his head; walks up the stairs and hears loud music coming from Joes room, he knocks on the door) Joe?

Joe: (ignoring him as a tear runs down his cheek)

Kevin: JoeJoe open the door

Joe: (puts the pillow over his head, and takes deep breaths)

Kevin: Joe? Cmon, open the door

Joe: (turns the music louder)

Kevin: (realizes the door was open and opens it) next time you want privacy, you might want to lock the door

Joe: (sits up; tears covering his face) what do you want?

Kevin: are youcrying?

Joe: (wipes his eyes with his arm) maybe

Kevin: (sits next to him and puts his arm around his shoulder) what happen?

Joe: Demi

Kevin: whataboutDemi? (remembers what Cody had said)

Joe: (looks up at him) she has a boyfriend

Kevin: oh, um. Wow

Joe: (looks down at his hands) I cant believe I thought I had a chance with her

Kevin: (quiet, but keeps listening)

Joe: I thought she liked me too

Kevin: (just pats his back)

Joe: I was wrong (starts hitting his head) stupid, me

Kevin: (grabs his hand) youre not stupid, you justwere to late to realize it

Joe: (looks back up at him) what?

Kevin: yesI meanlook she liked youyouwere a jerk to her. You hurt her real bad. Now she has her own life, she just included you in a piece of it, that doesnt mean she loves you. (pauses for a while) you hurt her once, real bad, on purpose. You didnt know her. You just knew her as the girl that wasnt scared enough to ask you out. Now, youre in love with her. You thought she loved you, you wanted to ask her out, she hurt you on accident. Well the point is if you werent enough of a jerk back then and actually gave her a chance. You couldve been the boyfriend that called every now and again. But now you are the not so much jerk that was too late to realize that he is in love with the girl that loved him back that.

Joe: (keeps looking at him) Kevinwhy do you make your points so long?

Kevin: what are you talking about? That was the shortest thing I ever told you

Joe: (smiles a bit then it fades away; he looks up at him) I dont think I can live knowing the person I love is taken

Kevin: (pulls him in for a hug) I know (refers to Ashley) I know
