From 1:10 to 1:28 they're playing real music, other parts are just not interesting and for me represent absolutely nothing. It's too bad that the music from the '30s, '40s and '50 has the same name like this one here, because jazz went from being a sort of music that is beautiful to a constant competition of people who are trying to play the longest they can and not leaving one melody in your head.

I've been on a gig of this Tambour tour in Vienna and to me Dave Friedman was the most melodical vibraphonist of all.
