Longhouse.

  • what, this is like navajo or apache lyrics mixed with images tooken mostly from plains indians and named after the people of the longhouse, the haudenosaunee???? I dont get it.

  • If I have offended you by any way with the pics, it was not my purpose. I just choose those that seemed most attractive without any purpose. It would be the same if you choose pics of Belgium/French people of a particular province while it might be almost impossible, being a foreigner, to know all distinctions in certain groups and languages. And even if it is mixed, I like the sound of Longhouse, nowadays influences of many (First Nations)cultures are used.

  • This makes me feel terribly HOMESICK ... as though I've been missing such a great part of my life from another era. I guess that MANY of us, simply have to make the most of who we are today & know in our hearts that one day, we'll all be reunited. Until then, we should celebrate the gift of knowing our ONENESS with ALL that is ~ especially our Godselves.

    NAMASTE!

  • Thanks, annie46664, for your comment. You could have not said it better, I feel that homesickness too. Like you said, we indeed have been missing something of our lives from another era and forgotten how to live in harmnny with ourselves, nature and animals.

How would this earth be if we had listened to the Natives? But maybe our history was necessary tfor us to grow. And I see more and more great, beautiful people like you who care for others and this planet. Thank you for this.

    Namaste!

  • I'm confused. I own the incredible "Longouse" CD by singer/songwriter Lisa Herman.I love this rare CD dearly, it reminds me of early Laura Nyro, not only in lead singers vocals but the writing style. But as nice as these songs you have presented may be, they are NOT Lisa Herman nor her band Longhouse. SO what's the deal? Is there a connection? Is it coincidence? Please clarify if you can, I would love to find any recordings by the woman/group I mentioned. Their one CD was released on WEA in '91

  • I Love it....
