@Slipperyrod1984 Well, at the age of 54, with the help of Hcg, I have "ineffectually" lost 64 pounds of ugly, life threatening FAT and kept it off over one year. (I never felt hungry, sick, or faint).......for the very FIRST time in my life. The fat just has not returned. NO other diet I have ever done has reset my metabolism like the hcg. I couldn't care less what "Medical Literature" has to say.

great job, *&^% all you haters, HCG does change your life for the good. It works for everyone, if you follow the plan.

Diets like this might work, but nothing beats making legitimate and permanent real life changes to your-- daily eating habits, stress management skills, activity level, sleep hygiene, emotional health (including food addiction)... and getting other conditions treated that the doctor might oversee or miss. All the obese people I know (which is quite a lot) have some major bad habits that I (or any health-minded person) could see which is why they're fat. THERE'S NO MAGIC BULLET FOR WEIGHT LOSS!!!

@Slipperyrod1984 Dr. A.T.W. Simeons book Pounds and Inches. I'll take my anecdotal evidence to the bank....and to the Dr. office and feel just fine.

S Afr Med J. 1990 Feb 17;77(4):185-9.
Human chorionic gonadotrophin and weight loss. A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.
...Subjects receiving HCG injections showed no advantages over those on placebo in respect of any of the variables recorded. Furthermore, weight loss on our diet was similar to that on severely restricted intake. We conclude that there is no rationale for the use of HCG injections in the treatment of obesity.

@kingseller1 ........ nothing more than anecdotal evidence. If there are any peer reviewed scientific papers out there on it that show its is more effective than simply starving yourself that would be very helpful to me. Could you link me to anything?

“Numerous clinical trials have shown HCG to be ineffectual in producing weight loss… The diet used in the Simeons method provides a lower protein intake than is advisable in view of current knowledge and practice. There are few medical literature reports favorable to the Simeons method; the overwhelming majority of medical reports are critical of it..."

@Slipperyrod1984 Funny, I went and looked at the first clinical trial referenced in the above report and the summary of the clinical trial states, "The HCG group lost significantly more mean weight, had a significantly greater mean weight loss per injection, and lost a significantly greater mean percentage of their
starting weight. "
