I have been playing this for a week so I am not great at it yet but I wanted to share my progress :) I have played the Armenian duduk for a few years, the ukulele for a year, the piano my entire life and 10 years of opera training. This is a song from Lord of the Rings

  • Thank you for the positive comments everyone! I would just like to remind the public though that this is my very first video. When I made it, I had only been playing a week so there are bound to be mistakes- I realize this :) I am shocked that this video gets so many views because it is not good at all compared to where I'm at! I think it's time to make a new Lord of the Rings video to show my improvement after a year of playing. Cheers, Chantelle

  • Sound of that whistle is so calming! is that Dixon model DX022 - Duo-Head Low D Whistle/Flute?

  • @mona7g Thanks! Yes, it is the DX022 model. I also just ordered a whistle from Tony Dixon flutes as well! Getting that in a few weeks :)

  • well done :) you rock

  • @brescianimichele Thanks :)

  • uhm.. but thats not concerning hobbits... its in dreams...

but not bad at all! :)

  • @pianino08 It's Concerning Hobbits, and In Dreams, and a hand full of other song titles...Howard Shore uses the Shire theme obviously though throughout the whole trilogy so naturally, there are going to be multiple titles. The point is that it's the Shire theme, which is featured in more than one song

  • Firstly I Wanted To Say That You're.. Very Cute (:

Secondly, You're Great! Learn The Whole Song And Upload It Please, I'm Really Excited About It (:

  • Hello! Learning to play the low D whistle& having an awful hard time getting smooth low D. Also, I would really love to see your hands while you do this - to watch the way you do trills & ornaments. I thoroughly enjoy having this tutorial!Thank you from an old mom!

  • great playing i want a low whistle myself. And wow you're very pretty :)

  • 24?!? dang! you look so much younger! (that's a compliment by the way). o! and beautiful playing, by such a beautiful person. :)

  • your pretty damn sexy.. just sayin..

  • Hey görl, nice whistling=) Have a bunch of whistle n flutes but never understand the techniques. How big is the diffrence between whistle technique and irish flute technique? And how do u time the breathing while playing? Do u have to move around ur tunge alot while playing?

  • I see you have both the irish flute and the low whistle. I want to move on to another instrument, and I want to choose one of those as my next one. I am leaning towards Irish flute, but I just wanted to have a second opinion.

  • will you marry me?
