Reading and Northern Steamer #425 OCS

As me and my friend Eric arrived to catch the RN turn, we got a surprise, A STEAMER! Its the RBMN 4-6-2 #425 built in 1928. I hope you like this, I certainly do.

Nice video. The last time I saw the 425 was when it pulled an excursion at Steamtown to Tobyhanna. I never noticed that it had a front end throttle though, which seems rather odd for an engine of its size. Was it added later? Possibly during its most recent overhaul?

Thats possible, although Ive never seen this engine before the day I caught this, so I could be wrong.

The steamer looks great now that its finally finished, its has an attractive look to it.
