  • So you're planning the next coverage of CA 92 East from US 101 to I-880, including the San Mateo-Hayward bridge, am I correct?

  • Eventually, yes. I just haven't been on the San Mateo Bridge for quite some time, but it's definitely coming. :)

  • Wonderful. Thank you!

  • You've got CA-92 and CA-17 over the Santa Cruz Mountains, so clearly, the next thing to try is CA-84 from CA-1 to I-280. The funnest stretch there is between the CA-35 junction at Skylonda and Portola Road in Woodside. While you're there, you could also try Pescadero Road between Pescadero and La Honda...

  • I live in Half Moon Bay and have to drive this road every day to get to school. Coming and going is an absolute nightmare, especially in the mornings. It takes me almost 2 hours to get to school. My classes start at 845 and I leave my house at 6:30. I like driving the road just not dealing with the traffic.

  • Looks like a bad idea for trucks..

  • @itsalleternal: the half moon bay/princeton/miramar area will NEVER reach population rate to get the state to put in a 17 size road so thus folks that CHOOSE to live in the northern San Mateo coastal area will have to ACCEPT the existing 92.

  • @FreewayBrent

At spring after a round of golf at half moon bay golf links my parents decided

to buy some fruit and we found around that scenic route through farms and

forest got a strawberry from the store by locals!

    A great taste strawberries!

In the UK we regularly have to put up with two lane roads carrying that volume of traffic - the highway authority where I work (as a sign designer) for example has a two lane road carrying 44,000 vehicles a day with no plans to widen it.

  • 36,000 vehicles a day? That is ridiculous for a 2-lane highway!!! If only it weren't so expensive, that clearly warrants a freeway there. (Heck almost calls for 6 lanes!)

  • I have to say,i'm sure you posted this video for your own reasons but i must tell you,it brought be back, shedded a few! definitley going to my favs.thanks!!
