Im only 22 and NYC has been my dream place for a while, I would love to go there. Just want to know from others here what are some of the pros and cons of NYC?

@picklemonster1001 Americans don't hate Brits. We don't typically judge people based on nationality unlike many Europeans. You'll find that we are naturally open and friendly, and non-judgmental. But NYC is a massive place, so you'll encounter all types of people. And NYC is the most international city in the world, so your unlikely to find a "stereotypical American" here. Most are business people, and young hipsters.

@1EpicEmpoleon Americans are just nicer and more open by nature. But in NYC, don't expect it all the time lol. NYC is such an international melting pot, half the time it doesn't even feel American.

LOL, most of the apartments are like 900 USD or even more per month, the people are all rude, the transportation is shitty, off time, and the city itself is dirty.

New York is everything you want it to be and more. I'll never forget watching the sunset on the brooklyn bridge, walking out of penn station during rush hour and seeing all the people, time square, the graffiti all over the buildings. blacks, asians, whites, hispanics, gay, straight. every walk of life, no judging eyes, just people. truly a beautiful city filled with imperfections, but that is what makes new york, new york and so perfect.
