As I have stated in the previous video, this video and here; any decision on reforms of the US medical care system are a matter for americans. It is not my place (or intention) to suggest any particular course to follow.

The purpose of these videos is to address the accusations and misrepresentations made by certain aspects of the US media so far as they relate to the NHS.

Here are the links to some of the sites I used in making this video:

  • the Fox network is such an insult to human intelligence, it's an outrage. How can people in America put up with this ?

  • The problem in the U.S. these days is the right has become so extreme that they won't support ANYTHING a Democrat is involved in, no matter what. If Faux News tells them to be against health care reform, they'll be against health care reform. If Obama had anything to do with it, they're against it. If the GOP proposes exactly the same thing, they're in favor of it.

  • yes Michael............ we're laughing.

  • daniel hannan - picture of him in the dictionary under "unelectable" .... and "cunt"

  • @coffee396 Well, Americans are such an insult to human intelligence most of the time as well. America is the first world county with the highest level of public scientific illiteracy.

  • @coffee396 There is not a lot of intelligence floating around here in america.

  • @shaolinfingajab Id at a US Pharmacy so I can speak to docters being paid to precribe and I can say that it is impossible for that to happen because of laws set in place to prevent that sort of shady business and I work in the field so I can verify that it is something they check up on.

  • @NoFaithNoPain Costco cant sell every kind of drug,obviously...only doctors can perscribe anything that isnt OTC,so it makes me wonder what kind of a mark up the doctors sell these meds only they can perscribe at?

How would anyone know if their doctor isnt just telling them that they are ill just to perscribe them something they dont actually need? Pay another?

Also the amount of narcotic painkilling medication being dished out over there seems to be alot higher compared to here.

  • @NoFaithNoPain I love america too and believe they have done alot of great things as a nation. But When I saw the tents in the parking lots over there and heard that they were charities that are used to working in disaster zones and in 3rd world countries,I was shocked, that is their version of the NHS.

You can go to most doctors over there, you will be charged astronomical prices for medication..yet if you go to Costco. you can find exactly the same brand of otc meds for allmost half the price.

  • @NoFaithNoPain Very true,They seem to think that becoming ill with something is down to a" lifestyle choice" if this bloke is to be taken as the view of the majority.I know it is not the view of all americans.

They dont seem to understand that some people simply cant help to be poor, single mothers with children, the disabled ect.

It makes me wonder if alot of them beleive god struck the poor down or something and they deserve it? wouldnt suprise me one bit.I know some Christians beleive that.

  • RETARD COMMUNIST DO SOME RESEARCH - that is all I see here. At the end of the day, I enjoy something wonderful I have been proud to pay into and glad to claim off when I needed it and I was broke. If it was not for the NHS I would be dead by now. When I could pay, I paid in BIG and never needed it. Why is it I can have something that Americans (land of the free, the brave, USA number 1) can never have? I love America and Americans, but I am glad I am not American or I would be a dead American.

  • @shaolinfingajab Americans don't seem to understand insurance. When you have money you pay in, When you don't, it pays out. Everything averages out. If you are very well off you can go private and top up for that little bit extra. You are no treally paying for somebody else in the way they seem to see it as very few people never ever get a job and leach off the system forever. This is their fear, the idea someone will get something off of them. Christians are often the most uncharitable this way
