I was ALMOST SEDUCED by "The Secret Law of Attraction"

Is "The Secret" that was put out by Rhonda Byrne, Bob Proctor and Jack Canfield and featured on the Oprah show just a self help tool that enables you get what you want out of life by using the "The Secret Law of Attraction" and having "Powerful Intentions"? Or is it REALLY something else entirely??

I am no proponent of the secret(mostly because they totally miss repersent the field of quantum mechanics) and they get rich by selling the "law of attraction to the gulible) But trying to bring religion into this is just wrong,,and the LOA is no different than prayer in the bible.(both are pretty useless) being positive is good,visualization is also good,but you need to take constant and positive action toward your goals to get them.and the secret is just anot nonsense,its not evil

If something doesn't work in your life, don't use it, it's fine, but don't discourage others from using it when they could have changed their lives around with it like I have. You don't need to take a stand against something that has done so much good for so many, that is wrong! But you can certainly choose not to use it in your own life. You are not doing anyone any favors, you are doing far more harm then good here. Talk about what works for you, and leave what doesn't work out alltogether

If you're really a christian you wouldn't say something so ignorant! Jesus also said "Whatever you ask for in prayer, BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE IT, & it will be yours" Mark 11:22, which is the premise of the secret! He also said over & over, he is no different then we are we all have the same power & after healing a woman he told her "thy faith has healed you" not "I have healed you" you speak of a religion you know nothing about. The secret is at the basis of all religions minus the baloney

I remember once, there were these solders who plundered the lands of Europe, destroyed various religious icons because they were racist and bigots, and they stole and destroyed great artifacts, killed many many innocent people. They were crusaders, and they did it all in the name of God. You're doing the same thing by telling people that your God is the only way.

You alone are responsible and in charge of your own life and anything you experience. The truth is, that you can be, do or have anything you want and anything you do not want. Whatever you judge to be inappropriate can never be a source of joy to you. Whatever you fail in being or having, will be out of reach because of your perception. A belief is just a thought YOU keep thinking or have been trained to think. You choose! GOD loves you, whether you seek love, joy and abundance or not.
