Brook's House Fire.wmv

Brook's House on Main Street Brattleboro caught fire sometime around 9pm on 4/17. We started watching it at 10pm and I wound up staying until 3:40ish. It looked like one of the top apartments caught fire and it spread through the roof. As far as I know, everyone was evacuated, but I've only heard from word of mouth from the other pedestrians on the street.

The businesses underneath, Book Celler, Dragonfly, Wasteland, the hair salon...all are going to have to deal with water damage, if nothing else. And from the looks of it, the front of the building is bowing, which doesn't speak well for the stability of the building. It's sad, but the whole building might have to come down.

There were tons of firefighters from several areas here to help.
