"Modding" a Palm Pre part 3 of 3

PLEASE READ!!

In just 4 easy (hopefully) steps I will show you how to get preware on your Pre thus allowing you to download homebrew apps, patches, and themes straight from your phone!!

Here are the links mentioned you can follow alone

STEP 1
download and install java 1.6
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
and
webOS quick install version 2.72
http://forums.precentral.net/homebrew-apps/206905-webos-quick-install-v2-7-be...

STEP 2
On your PRE type this
upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart
turn Developer Mode on
reset your PRE
connect your PRE to your computer
select "just charge"

STEP 3
open quick install if its not already
a.) click on the button with the green arrow pointing to a hard drive
b.) click on drop down menu
c.) select webOS internals feed (all)
place a check on Package Manager Service
click download
then click install
now repeat a,b,c, again
THIS time place a check to Preware
click download
then install
now you will have preware app on your PRE

STEP 4
now the fun and easy stuff
to make life simple download these apps
LUNA MANAGER APP- resets your UI after applying patches *more detail put any "patches" you want then open luna app and click restart luna upon restarting you'll see your changes

**NOT MENTION IN THE VIDEO you might wanna get the DEV MODE app this allows you to turn on and off developers mode without typing the code **note turn it back off theres no need for you to leave it on beyond this point and just remember your PRE has to reset everytime you turn it ON or OFF

@cenoaoc no but running doctor erases everything including palm updates, the point of doctor is IF your pre crashes it'll put ya phone back to default
