Tony Vahl shares his unique take on the government shutdown.
Highlights:
- Vahl is not into videotaping himself while podcasting, but he knows eventually he will because the masses demand it
- Vahl is now simulcasting on Youtube
- A Government Shutdown means not getting paid
- Vahl has had a career of being part of companies that closed down; "If that was like lotto luck, I'd be a billionaire."
- Shout out to Caleb from Ohio
- Call the Skew Hotline and leave a message: 716-791-7539
- "As Walter says, 'Feedback is how we grow.'"
- East Coast radio is funkier than Southwest Florida
- Vahl and a friend recently laughing at the absurdity of life, and how there is an Unseen Hand of Fate that keeps piling on problems when you're already overwhelmed; "It's like the Book of Job."
- As mentioned previously on DailySkew, when the Government bailed out the banks and AIG, they swallowed the debt bubble; The Fed kicked the problem down the road, and now that bubble is bursting in the form of Shutdowns and cuts to Federal Programs
- Federal Employees have a bad rep, which makes it easy for the mutants out there to yell, "SHUT IT DOWN" on the message boards
- The Debt Crisis is beyond the control of the politicians; things have to be cut no matter what
- Vahl is shocked that members of the military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan are not going to get paid! That's not right!
- "You know how people complain about their bosses? In this case, the American People are the boss ... I understand a percentage vote Democrat, some vote Republican ... the 30% that are saying SHUT IT DOWN, it's like someone on a Roller Coaster saying, 'YEAH! MAKE ME THROW UP!' Anyway, you people wanting a Shut Down ... are the same kind of people who would complain about your boss if they scaled back your hours, or cut back your pay, or lay you off for an indefinite period of time, and complained about how the MAN isn't treating you right. Well, guess what? You're the MAN, and you're the one pushing these young Republicans to screw me over."
- Vahl is going to live without a paycheck for a month?! With his issues, like his son's Bone Marrow Transplant?! LOL at the absurdity of life
- .2% of society are employees of the Federal Government; I guess it's not a big enough constituency
- Congress is definitely encouraging disloyalty with how they are messing with Government Employees with all this uncertainty about their jobs
- Vahl feels bad for the military families
- The Republicans are doing a total Jerk-out
- "I'm first-guessing this move by Congress."
- Like that Tony Vahl Fan Page; check out all the crazy different podcasts there! "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!"
Thankfully, the politicians negotiated a settlement, and I will be to go to work and support my family. That's not a Government thing; that's an everyman thing.

Uh, maybe you should listen to the podcast. I did talk about how us "bastards" work for you, and even responded to your comment before you said it.
Or you can keep polishing your sword.
"Now, about the gas prices..." Wrong podcast, pal.
