@nso1256 Bare in mind I've only seen up to Season 4 and have Season 5 ordered, so don't spoil it beyond that points please - Dexter seemed to care for things he found logically / reasonably fair to care for, and Rita was included. In the show Rita was basically a perfect person and it's great that it opened up that aspect of Dexter, honestly.

@nso1256 Ish. I've been thinking about philsophy for more than half my life and I'm happy to say I'm pretty adept with morality - I already had the basis for whether Dex was right or wrong, (spoiler alert) - in Season 2 his hesitation to release Doakes' cost him his life, a moral fall on Dex's part, and in Season 4 there were repeated incidents concerning Dexter that may have been due to the slow transition of being an emotional person - I questioned what emotions were, and still am, kind of.
