Thousands march against Stop and Frisk in New York

Over the weekend, crowds of people gathered in the streets of New York City to protest Mayor Bloomberg's notorious Stop and Frisk policy. The demonstration drew nearly 50,000 individuals to participate in a silent march. The program is believed to target minorities in the city and of the individuals who have been stopped by the police, approximately 88 percent of them have been found innocent. Carl Dix of the Revolutionary Communist Party gives us his take on Stop and Frisk and why it must be abolished.

Go look up the FBI web site and you'll see That Rapes, Assault, Break-in's Robbery, Car theft Has Gone up In NY Just in jan-june of 2012 was at nearly 600 Rapes just for those months and that was only 10% reported so Bloomberg and Kelly Are Full of shit and Blowjob needs to be fired and Kelly needs to be brought up on Corruption Charges and 85% of the NYPCREEPS!

(continued) and if you really Know NY you'll see that in Many non black-hispanic neighborhoods like Throggs neck, Little Italy,Bayside, Brighton Beach etc you'll find out that there are more drugs and people carrying guns BUT the cops don't go to those hoods cause it doesn't fit their Profile and trust me I'm Born and raised in NY all My life and and been around the block quite a few times to have seen this for myself. (continued of Comment). Not only That, The whole weekend I was harrassed by The Cops especially The latino Cops while my Friend was left alone , Why Cause He's White? I don't know cause to me my Friend is like my Brother But to the cops Thay seen it differently and Very Well Knowing That he had signed a confession not even 2 hours after we were arressted But still they tried to hide that evidence and prosecute me Falsely. So Again The Mayor, kelly and 85% of that force has To Go PERIOD!!!

I'm Hispanic and was stopped with a friend of mine that I didn't know was carrying and they arressted me and said I had a Gun and Drugs and Ran me throught he system trying to get me 12 years even before I seen a judge, so To Me That's Racist and what made my Point was the fact that I sued and won Big time . So Not only did they lie, they cost the Tax payers Money. The Mayor, kelly and at least 85% of the Cops Are corrupt and Racist!!!!!

(continuation of comment)--- The issues about stop and frisk should be 1--whether or not its constitutional and 2---the severity and brutality often involved in searches. It has lowered crime, yes, but at what cost? I'm white in an otherwise almost all-black some latino, high-crime area, and I was stopped-and-frisked by an NYPD officer blocking the roof entrance when i was going up there to smoke a cigarette. That proves that it's the neighborhood more than race.

I agree that stop and frisk is fucked up, but I honestly don't think the racial profiling aspect the issue. NYPD are performing stop-and-frisk in heavy-gun violence neighborhoods, which in NYC are ONLY Black and Latino, so obviously the people in those neighborhoods available for searching are gonna be black and latino. White and Asian New Yorkers simply aren't involved in gun violence on any pattern basis, let's be honest.
