Or at the very least be expected to do a decent job with the song. She did not do the song justice. Therefore no one can expect that people won't comment on that fact.

A professional singer does it because of that influence and because they hope that the legend & the rest of the world will hear them and think that they have a good shot of becoming as good or better one day. Hilary Duff is not an armature singing for fun, she is a professional singer. Obviously a professional is held to a higher standard. Singing that song was a public challenge, which she failed
