The whole sterotype pointless, I'm English, doesn't mean I live in a pub and drink every night, I studied in France, doesn't mean I'm the most romantic guy in my town (thats a city for our friends across the pond ;) ) nor the best cook, I'm part Dutch, doesn't mean I'm stoned half the time and nor do I wear a wooden shoe, but I can see your point of view, in general, the French ARE more romantic, the English are more 'pub cultured' evidently, people like Ameer18 use crap insults.
