Verse:
Tuesday's rain falls like a river on my head
And who's to blame for the signal turning red
As I stand here all alone
And count the sands of time
I watch the sunshine yielding
To the night
Pr-chorus:
There's nothing left for me
But my restless soul
My starring role
In a faded memory
Chorus:
Like Tuesday's rain
It's falling down on me
Tuesday's rain
Verse:
The thrill is gone
I'm numb to the burning pain of love
And I cant explain why I held on so long
As I wait for my new high
And sit on my mood swing
And drift out like the tide
Into the deep blue sea
Pre-chorus
Chorus

An awesome hard rocking blues influenced band, named after a term used to describe a motorcyclist crashing and skidding along the road at high speed. Their debut was an outstanding album that should have made them household names, but it failed to do so.
Formed in San Diego, California by Gary Jeffries (ex-Broken Rule, vocals), and former Mistreated members Danny Clarke (guitar), Julius J. Ulrich (guitar), Terry Phillips (bass) and Mikki Kiner (drums). They were able to gain a loyal following in the Los Angeles bar circuit, which got the attention of Virgin records. The debut was a raunchy all out rocker that infused generous amounts of blues and melody, with Jeffries' gravely delivery bringing everything together. However minor airplay of singles such as "Soul Survive" and "Tuesday's Rain" failed to put the band over.
Jeffries left for personal reasons during the tour for the debut, and Tommy Dean was recruited as the band tried to update their sound in an attempt to fit in with the changing music scene of the early 90's. But Pigs, and its debut single "Angry Youth," was a commercial failure, and the group parted ways.
Jeffries would resurface with southern rockers The Regulators before forming Alligator Stew. Ulrich and Kiner are currently working together in the hardcore metal band 13a. There is a possibility of the original line-up returning in the future.

Review:
The debut effort from the tattooed biker quintet known as Asphalt Ballet was a pleasant surprise. "Hell's Kitchen", "Unlucky Mr. Lucky" and "Taking A Walk" are good rockers, while "Wasted Time" slows things down a bit. The standout tracks though are the mid-tempo ones, like "Soul Survive", "Tuesday's Rain" and "Goodbye Yesterday", which show off Gary Jeffries impressive vocal delivery.
The sound here is very bluesy metal similar to that of Little Caesar, while Jeffries vocals add an element of southern rock to the mix. Asphalt Ballet was very good and should have stood out among numerous copycat bands that were receiving record deals at the time. Sadly the band failed to make any dent among the record buying public, and this albums remains a long-forgotten classic. Asphalt ballet receives two thumbs up!

Loved this song when they played it live. Mikki, T-bone, J and I all worked the same crappy job together and I was so happy for them when this CD came out. Sucks it never did as well as it should have, but forever a favorite. Plus all the guys were cool as hell.
