First test of a wind mill that pumps water. The testing is done in COMET-ME workshop. The wind pump will be installed in the south mount Hebron area to pump water from the cistern holes 6 meter deep. Comet-Me provides wind and solar energy solutions to the communities in the south mount Hebron area, known as the 'cave dwellers'
The unique thing about this design is that it uses simple tower with a gin pole. the bottom part of the tube is welded to a 'U" or 'H' profile. the pumping rod goes through the tower tube and the pump is positioned at the bottom. The pump is made according to EMAS plans
Nice video. Is this a similar set up to the old farm windmills? I have one at my place and would love to put it to work again, Just not sure how they work and what it would take. Can you stop the windmill from pumping when you have enough water?

@reinhammer1 Hi there. You may slow it down by furling the tail. The tail is on an hinge and you may pull it by a rope attached to it to change its position. Usually you need to have large enough tank and add a pipe from the tank back to the well to clear access water in case it is full.
