Straightening a frizzy, nylon wig with a flat-iron set at 248 degrees Fahrenheit. This can also be done with a high-quality wig at the same temperature, but much more carefully.

  • I would suggest that in the future you video shorter and more professional,eg.leave out the hannah montana conversation,as im a wig dresser and wanted to see someone actually straighten fibre with straighteners, and i got so bored 30 seconds in,this is only positive critisiscm that you never know whos watching your videos for the purpose they say they are for.

i shall try this though, thank you

  • Yes, I'm definitely going to try to leave the commentary out of it next time. Sorry about that. I got a little lazy and didn't cut the video down to just the straightening part.

  • I find it very hard to straighten synthetic wigs with hair straighteners.

I can never pull it down the hair fast enough, so little pieces end up frizzing and half-melting. xD

  • I just use the lowest setting possible. You can also put the hair between two pieces of felt and go really, really slowly and lightly like that. ^-^

  • yeh but is it human hair

  • No, it is not.

  • I used this method, I washed it and then did this, it worked wonders I turned a VERY curly haired wig to a straight silky structure A+

  • @hetalia71 use the hot water method you can find out how to do it in here [utube]

  • would it work with my wig I have a very nice wig its a miku hatsune cosplay wig so the wig goes down to me knees so how could i straiten it. because a friend borrowed it and her dog got it so its very very tangled so please anyone tell me!!!

  • lol mine melted!

  • i've used the hot water method on two of my wigs now and it works wonders! what temperature was your water? it really only works if the water is around 180-185 (Fahrenheit) (careful i burnt my hand when doing this) and basically i boiled water in a kettle until it reached 180 then poured it over the wig (on a stand so it hangs straight down) it took about 4 kettle fulls, then i let it dry overnight. now its straight as a pin :D

  • it might be

  • can you send me that video because otherwise my show costume will be a wreck youll be a life saver and thanx

  • ya i totally agree with you on that

  • Ok we get the Wig is 10 damn dollars! Get over it! No one cares about the original price. Just straighten the damn hair.

  • I agree... thanks for your comment. I was about to post something similar but then I saw yours. Again .. thanks..
