This is one of my favorite scenes from Screwby, the third episode of Generation Kill. I love how Nate is so perky when he talks to the reporter and how good he is with communicating with Brad a.k.a The Iceman

It's incredible how much respect you gain for Fick, as a person, through this series. The situations he is put into as both a leader and a subordinate are beyond what most of us will ever experience. Just ordered his book; can't wait to read it.

What I love most about this scene between Nate and Evan is that Nate's really trying to reassure Evan without actually accusing him of being afraid. It's so considerate of him.

@kinkarcana1293 Same here, sounds like he was making fun of him for being too frightened to stay back from the tire. Don't blame him, I'd probably make fun of Rolling Stone too. Though I do think this is the only time Fick himself actually mocked Rolling Stone for his inexperience

"Well Brad, Baghdad is always the objective. If all of us roll into Baghdad, the Iraqi will be prepared with all they got before we could get into Baghdad. That will be extremely difficult to all of us marine. But if we divide our force, they have to divide their force as well. Basically, we, the ultra elite recon marine voted to be a patsy. But don't tell anybody about it."
