Ken WIlson announced the St.Louis Blues television play by play from 1984-2004. Aside from being a top notch commentator, he influenced an entire generation of blues fans, and will always be remembered as one of the greatest announcers in Blues history, as well as in NHL history.

also, sorry i couldn't find video for all of them.

--Feb. 25 2012 -- It has been almost four years since I have uploaded this video. I just want to say thank you to all the die hard Blues fans who have watched and shared this video. This is the epitome of Blues hockey as far as I am concerned. Wilson's commentary will always have a place in my heart as well as as anyone who was a Blues fan from 1984-2004. Please share this with anyone you know who is a dedicated Blues fan. It is a piece of Blues history that cannot be forgotten.

  • I can think of one of his best calls that was not on here...these are all goals...what about the fights and saves? I can remember Fuhr stopping a two on zero going gloveside and Ken "Hiiiiiiigghwwaayyyyyy Robbbery"......so awesome!

  • @nighttrain316 I agree, his save calls were often just as good if not better than his goal calls, but they are alot harder to find on the internet.

  • Bring Back Ken!

  • yep, Ken Wilson was great.

  • theres no passion from the announcers now. like darren pang just says his stupid shit and it kinda just takes you out of the game. i think hockey in st louis would be so much more popular if they brought back kenny wilson and got rid of panger and put kelly at color comm and wilson at play-by-play

  • The feeling of having John Kelly replace Dan is kinda like how Lois Lane felt having sex with a normal guy after Superman. Not bad, but...damn, no where near.

  • The way Kenny called a game was fantastic. He could sense when goals would be scored and you could sense it in his tone and inflection. I live in KC and I could get the KMOX signal late at night during the winter and would listen to the third period.

  • dude great video i was hoping to see the macinnis goal from center against detroit in the playoffs but overall a great video about a great voice in this game. We Blues fans dearly miss Ken Wilson.

I grew up in St. Louis and fell in love hockey because of this guy. He was so good you could close your eyes and feel like you were watching the game while listening to him on the radio. It's so awesome to see that other hockey fans outside of St. Louis got to experience this. The alarm clock vibrating to the Blues scoring put a huge smile on my face. Freaking awesome man!

  • I lived in West Virginia till 1992 and in the winter I could pick up KMOX at night. I would listen to the blues games and loved this guys play by play, he was awesome. I learned alot of hockey from him. My little alarm clock radio would vibrate when the Blues would score and that horn would go off. Thanks for this video.
