My humble attempt at the beautiful Celtic tune The South Wind. I play this one in CGCGCD tuning in case any of you fellow guitar nerds were wondering:) Kind Regards, Thomas Lind

  • do you have tab for this one?i would love to have it..i love the tone of you'r guitar..greattttttt jobi will add it to my favs..tx george

  • Sorry my friend but i have never written a tab and doubt it would be very accurate if I did. The tuning is CGCGCD and there is actually very little fingering involved so you should be able to play it without too much difficulty. The guitar is a seagul(my baby:) Thank you for your comments..

  • "Great Playing mate".

All you need now is a decent Microphone

    10/10

  • just A microphone would be helpful:) Thanx for your comments..

  • Oh, I love the south wind so much and your peaceful composition played with all of your heart! And the sound of your guitar is amazing!

  • Al Petteway has a couple of versions in DADGAD and DADGBD but the title is "The West Wind". You can hear them and get the tab for them on his Whispering Stones and Celtic Blues and Beyond albums. Al Petteway has a gift for exquisite phrasing and is quite extraordinarily lucky to have his wife Amy White who is also a phenonamaly talented Multi-gifted musician.

  • Amazing song, nice work

  • Hi Thomas!

I just saw your wonderful version of this beautiful celtic tune. This is really a great arrangement. I love those bendings and the way you play around the original melody - that's great work. I play a Franco Morone arrangement but I think your version is even better. I wonder if it's your own arrangement? It's such a pity that you couldn't record it in a better quality!

    Best regards,

    Bernd

  • Beautifully done. I have bookmarked this. Has an

    Ed Gerhardt sound to it.
