REM "Man On the Moon" FCN 2010 Variety Show Performance

This was my first official "solo" performance onstage
and well, to quote 00Skyfox:
"At the start he forgets the lyrics but handles the situation like an experienced entertainer, and then plays the song fully and very well."

...needless to say I was rather impressed with all the positive feedback I've gotten from friends and family

Not bad, considering you screwed up horribly by forgetting the lyrics. All-in-all I think it made the video rather amusing though, so the screw up added to it. You should have started playing the Jeopardy theme along with the crowd.

I think the fuck-up actually added to this, man. Nicely played! And don't worry about nerves, it gets easier. Of course, I'm a drummer so I have a kit and three other dudes between me and the audience, but I've sung up front on occasion too, and it does get easier. Keep playin! There's no feelin like bein on stage and feeling that the crowd actually wanna hear you!
