Different name for Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I think it is a pretty good replica of the N64 stage.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: Whomp King Returns
- Added Cloud Mario power-ups throughout the stage, two whomps are to be fought, a giant whomp and then the king.
- Also King Whomp's quotes are very similar in both games, which I thought was pretty awesome.

  • Couldn't you make them go at the same time? xD

  • I love how King Whomp says the exact same thing in both games!

  • the baby whops are so cute!

  • Why in galaxy 2 did that if you got flattend then you die automaticly.

  • Nooo why'd you have to kill him so fast I was enjoying that song! >:(

  • @Train4yourself everything but the thwomps

  • 0:20 - 0:21 Ouch... Good thing that didn't happen in the Galaxy 2 video, otherwise that would've been an automatic death.

  • @xdlugia1 But that's exactly what would have allowed for a more diverse gameplay. And yes, I understad what you say about Galaxy being different, but there's galaxies that focus a little more on exploration. Anyway, I'm not just talking about stages, I'm also talking about game mechanics, graphics or even music. Nintendo really neglects a lot of media regarding Sunshine, Even in Galaxy, the only "classic" Mario game since Sunshine that has featured Piantas doesn't let you get one in your crew.

  • Who agrees with me , that the old grafics are better than the new...?

  • @kztar621 Yeah, but Sunshine is more like "limited area with total exploration" while Galaxy is more like "Get from here to there to there to there to there and to the finish line with little exploration".

Remember, Sunshine had lots of Blue coins, hidden nozzles and more, while Galaxy 2 has comet coins which is 1 per level, and is not OMGWTFBBQ-hard to find...

  • @SmashBrosWii1 I played Super Mario 64 DS in the past, but I didn't like it much back then because the D pad controls felt uncomfortable for me. I'm re-buying it for the 3DS because the new analog stick will have better controls for me. The reason why I like Galaxy 2 the best is because it's more challenging, you can finally switch between Mario and Luigi, and the different comet quests were even more unique.Galaxy 1 had great music and graphics as well. Sunshine was my childhood game.

  • @SmashBrosWii1 Actually a lot of people liked Sunshine better than Galaxy 1 because it was more challenging to them, and they though the boss battles were better too. If you look at the video comparison between Sunshine and Galaxy 1 on Youtube, more people voted for Sunshine. I personally liked Galaxy 2 the best, then Galaxy 1, and last is Sunshine for me. I like the DS version on Super Mario 64 because it has more characters, and it's also portable. I'm going to buy that game when I get a 3DS.
