15 hours in the Jab before solo. I did start back in 2003 on a Piper Warrior at Moorabbin and passed my GFPT exam but the practical. I had a break from flying until 12 months ago. No I just fly the Jab.
Who is your instructor?
Cheers

picperf, great video, what model of Jabiru is that? Is it yours or it's a rental? I'm looking to do my RA license next year on the Gold Coast, and hopefully purchase my first ultra light in 2 years. Jabiru is one of my favourite candidates but I haven't had chance to talk first hand to someone holding one. Are you happy with it?

aHi thanks for the comment. This is a Jabiru J160 a rental. I am now flying the new J170, a better plane. Wider cockpit, bigger wings, more stable. A joy to fly. Really floats down the runway with plenty of time to land. Have a look at the Jabiru website. The have a no frills plane for $59000. Cheers Angus

In my opinion your better off saving up the money and doing it all in one hit. I wouldn't want to do less than one lesson a week, you can lose touch really quickly.
