Devourers are chelicerata, but they are not scorpions. They are separate subphylum of arthropodae, unique to Tyria.
And scarabs are not beetles. They are actually more related to aphids, but they evolved to have insect equivalent of lungs, teeth and a really bad temper.
They just somewhat look like beetles because of the hard wings in their back, that's why people called them 'scarabs', but their roots are different.
Pretty fun video, anyways.
