The Infinity Turbine ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) takes any low grade heat and boils a refrigerant to generate power. Sources of low grade heat include geothermal, solar, diesel engine, boiler, steam condensate, compressor waste heat, biomass, and industrial waste heat.
While there are many technologies to expand the refrigerant pressurized vapor, the most promising are radial inflow turbines, disc turbines, and rotary screw expanders.
By having a direct drive power take off (PTO), you can eliminate a gearbox to spin a generator, pump or other devices which help reduce the cost of the manufacturing and the cost of the equipment.
Infinity Turbine provides small, rack-mounted, plug-and-play ORC machines. Our IT10 is perfect for the 5-12 kilowatt range.

Infinity has gone to a single turbine/expander arrangement since the twin rotors of the converted air-end of a rotary screw compressor lock up with use and side loads (such as the belt driven design used by ElectraTherm).
