Havana may be very romantic for some body who is not living in Cuba or for some body who is not suffering daily terror and needs. Havana is very romantic from outside world but it is not the same for the people living there. Che Guevara wasn't so romantic either, he just was an adventurer foreign who went to Cuba with communist ideas to support the terror, deficiency and narrowness.

Cubans are a proud people with a history as rich as that of the U.S. I spent much time there. It is not better or worse than the U.S., just different. Or rather it is better in some ways and worse in others.  As is any place else.

Cuba is poor and lack much of the necessary resources for an functioning society, but that's largely due to the blockade by the 'One superpower' in this world since the fall of USSR. 'Democracy' engineered by imperialism will only make Cuba worse especially women and youth. Just take a look at women in Saudi Arabia kingdom under support of US, look at the lack of contraception in Catholic and democratic Philippines where women need to breed like rabbits.
