Handzus boards Hemsky

In an interview Hemsky didn't blame Handzus for the injury, apparently he was playing with a hurt shoulder for while already and he tried to play through it, having the olympics in mind but this not so bad looking hit was the last straw.
He'll have surgery and will be out for about 6 months.

Had to come waqtch it because I heard a bunch of people calling it a clean hit, but it's a crosscheck from behind and drove him into the boards. Should have been 5 and a game.

Dude, relax. You want to know why his buddies didn't do anything? cuz the hit wasn't dangerous (no separation, Handzus rode him into the boards with a pretty mild crosscheck) they knew Hemsky was already banged up. His shoulder gave out on the hit and that's why he crumpled. Hemsky's a tough guy for playing hurt but that's what can happen. He'll be missed.

Handzus rode him into the boards with a bit of a crosscheck.There wasn't any separation and Hemsky has even admitted that it wasn't Handzus' fault, his shoulder was already wonky. That's why he crumpled so fast. Normally Hemsky stays up but that's what can happen when you play injured.
