I can't understand how a Western civilized nation as the United States pretends to be, has so many people stuck in an unrealistic ideology that being gay is wrong.People are born gay, and I think this should be accepted. No scientist has ever proven this not to be the case. You could say the other way around either. But If people say that they're gay and they haven't made a choice to be gay, we should take their word for it. Cause know one would make a choice to be discriminated against.

I went to college with Mark Shields. When I found out he was gay, I couldn't believe it. It was like when I found out Liberace was gay, who saw that coming? (no pun intended).

Feeling is probably the most honest thing about human, and if he is alternating his feeling or attempting to change, or as he said "love beyond" it, then he isn't honest, and that isn't who he is.
